Muay Thai, Meditation and Massage

Since our days were spent busy either taking massage classes in Staci's case, or dance classes in mine, we were really too tired in the evenings to do much. We still found the energy to go shopping every once in a while. And we definitely had a good time eating....and taking naps.

Here are the other things that kept me busy....

One evening, Staci and I fell into a tourist trap, er, uh, I mean, attended a Muay Thai kickboxing flight. When we got there, we realized that we were in a sea of other white-skinned, English speaking westerners--not a Thai in site except for the waiters and…uh….young, pretty Thai girls. (That topic deserves it’s own special blog. And no doubt there are many many websites about it already….) It was fun to see real kickboxing to compare it to what I had learned in class. One thing I can say is that they can be really brutal!!

One night, I attended a monk chat and meditation session at one of the local Buddhist monasteries.

One day after a strenous dance class, I treated myself to a Thai foot massage!
